Training

We normally have club training sessions for all athletes (from 8 years old upwards) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

We use the facilities of St Jospeh's GFC at Commons Cross on the outskirts of Dromiskin village for our training sessions. These facilities include the Gaelic football field and the indoor community centre. There is also a community field at the back of the Gaelic football field which can be used for training in daylight hours. Facilities for athletics in the community field include a Tartan Long / Triple Jump runway and pit, and a concrete Shot Putt circle. The club also possesses a wide selection of equipment (e.g. starting blocks, hurdles, high jump bar and mats, and throwing implements of varying weights) for use at the training sessions. There is a fee of 3 euro per family per week payable by athletes attending the club training.

St Peter's AC is very grateful to St Joseph's GFC for the access to their facilities.

Several of the older athletes in the club also travel regularly to venues further afield for additional training sessions.
